Ladies and gentlemen I have come to you appalled at the depiction of the STARZ photoshoot in the documentary depicting David Bellemere physically handling maneuvering and objectifying the models in the preview. How they speak about the models, how they focus on people calling them sluts, and how utterly devoid of actual art it actually is. I don’t know who this David Bellemere is or the other guy (forgot his name already) who decided he’s a hot shot who gets to be the decider on all things social media and art when they aren’t showing anything that a 1970′s Playboy hasn’t already done. Make no mistake, this is just another version of naked girl photography and nothing that focuses on art. Attaching the word art to it is against the taste and decency qualities actual artists strive for.
The audacity for two egotistical men to attempt to define our genre of photography by holding up as examples with only nudity is an affront to all we do.
And I present to you the abomination.
